Why Effective Retirement Planning Is Essential
I looked up the word “essential” when I wrote the above headline and here is what dictionary.com told me:
Think of what “indispensable” or “necessary element” or “basic” means. Effective retirement planning is that important to your future happiness. There is no other way to say it. It’s like breathing or eating or sleeping. Effective retirement planning is the difference between happiness and misery; the difference between success in this phase of your life or failure; the difference between survival and living joyfully.
Yet, many workers are not taking critical retirement-planning steps. Six in 10 workers (61 percent) say they have saved for retirement. Just 4 in 10 have tried to figure out how much money they will need in retirement (41 percent).
So if something is stressing you out, and you can do something about it, why not act on it?
You can take action today if you sign-up for the free Webinar that my colleague, Amy Shappell, CFP®, and I are doing tonight May 23 at 6:00 p.m. but you have to act fast. We only do this Webinar once every couple of years so please try to attend tonight.
