Find Your Perfect Place to Retire has come up with a new list of best places to retire. You can check out the list at this link, but more importantly, note the criteria used.

  • Affordability
  • Wellness
  • Culture
  • Weather
  • Crime.

As I’ve suggested before, don’t use someone else’s criteria to decide where you want to live. For example, Bankrate’s criteria includes weather – which is fine – but Kentucky received the second highest mark for weather and Georgia was #4 for weather. Have you ever been to Georgia in the summer??

Create your own criteria for best place to live or retire so it fits your needs and wants. Then, if your ideal retirement place means moving, spend some time there before you commit to moving.

BTW, Georgia ranked first according to Maryland was ranked last.
