I’m not retired, yet. Maybe I’ll never be. However, I do think about retirement all the time for my clients. And even though I’ve been thinking about retirement for the better part of five decades, there are still things I wish I knew about my retirement. For example:
- What’s it like to not have to get up and go to my work every day?
- Will I worry about money?
- What will I do with all my extra time? Will there be extra time, or will it be like my garage where junk piles up until there isn’t any more space?
- Will I get tired of doing fun stuff? Or, to put it another way, will I get bored?
- Who will my friends be?
These are some questions I’d like answers to. From speaking with clients before and after they retire, it seems like there are as many answers as there are people answering them. I guess it’s normal to wonder about the next phase of my life. However, if you’re retired and have some answers, I’d love to hear from you. Send me an email at email@example.com and share your thoughts and answers. I’d really like to know.
